cp-e™ Genesis Coupe Triple Gauge Pod
by Dmitriy on Mar.05, 2010, under Genesis
We have finalized the design for the Genesis Coupe Triple Gauge pod - tweaking the placement of mounting clips, making sure edges line up flush, and overall fitment is of OEM quality. We have gone through multiple prototypes to ensure quality and fitment.
Our gauge pods are made to match the interior of the vehicle as close as possible to keep the vehicle looks clean and professional. We match the graining of the dash surface finish as well to maintain the OEM look.
The gauge pod for the Genesis Coupe will fit both 52mm and 60mm gauges and the design allows for wiring to be routed behind the dash for a clean install. The gauge pod also features a perforated surface to allow the sound to pass through from the center speaker - just as on the factory piece. We have also included a hood over the gauges to improve visibility in direct sunlight - a very popular design feature on our Evolution X gauge pod.
The expected ETA on the parts is May 2010 - check back here for more updates!

cp-e™ Turbo Back Exhaust featured in Import Tuner
by Dmitriy on Feb.26, 2010, under Genesis, Hyundai, Magazine Articles
The Genesis Coupe has been the focus of many automotive media outlets since the vehicles showed up in the US almost a year ago. Here at cp-e™ we have been working hard to stay ahead of the game and bring to the market new and unique performance upgrades for the platform.
The cp-e™ turbo-back exhaust has recently been featured in Import Tuner Magazine in the Power Pages. Consisting of our 3″ SS Downpipe (catless) and the Quad-Tip cat-back exhaust to complete the setup.
Here is an excerpt from the article:
2010 Hyundai Genesis - Import Tuner Magazine
“CP-E’s exhaust system is constructed of 18-gauge, mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel tubing and robotic TIG welding, resulting in a durable and attractive piece. The full three-inch-diameter piping from the downpipe to the Y-pipe is 0.5 inches larger than stock, for improved turbo response and impressive horsepower gains at mid to high engine speeds. The CP-E exhaust system offers an aggressive and crisp tone, complementing the aesthetics of the quad-tip system.”

cp-e™ Winter Dyno Day

We had some nice cars show up, including a few that are cp-e™ sponsored. With some great music from DJ Special K and fun crowd - the rainy, cold day ended up being good none the less.
As many of you know - we are scheduled to have a large meet here at cp-e™ on March 20 - open to all cars and everyone is welcome to come! Some come by and check us out.
Here is a video from the dyno day - enjoy in full 720p quality.

by Paula on Feb.07, 2010, under Events
As many of you know cp-e™ is located just outside of Washington, DC. The area was hit with a winter storm over the weekend that many have dubbed Snowmageddon or the Snowpocalypse. The snow has finally stopped, but the storm has left us with the 4th highest snow totals in the history of this area. Everyone has started the task of digging out from the 24+ inches on the ground, but this area is not equipped for this much snow. There may be some delays at cp-e™ this week as we finish digging out and getting back to our regular schedule. These delays will affect both techinical support as well as order processing. Orders that shipped out late last week may also be experiencing delays through UPS and USPS as everything shut down during this storm. Please check your tracking information to see if your package has been delayed.

Genesis Stock Intercooler Replacement Kit
by Paula on Jan.12, 2010, under Genesis
FMIC Upgrades are soon to be a common modification - at which point the factory unit mounted below the main radiator will be rendered useless, taking up space, weight and collecting rodents in the open endtanks.
Removing the factory FMIC opens up quite a bit of usable space and reduces weight. Unfortunately - removing this small intercooler means losing support for the radiator above, thus requiring alternative mounts.
cp-e™ will be coming out with a basic yet versatile solution to removing your factory intercooler.
> Strong laser cut aluminum ensures a sturdy and very precise mounting solution for the radiator assembly.
> Also features mounts for other various coolers: a power steering cooler and an oil cooler
The IC Replacement kit can come in various configurations:
1. Basic kit - removing the factory IC and installing the lighter cp-e™ solution saving weight.
2. Power Steering cooler - the kit will come with a power steering cooler and necessary hardware to replace the factory unit. The bigger, more efficient cooler will be a good upgrade for the car.
3. Oil cooler - the kit can also be had with an oil cooler which can be very useful in higher horsepower or race applications. There are lots of kits out there that intercept the oil feed at the engine oil filter and along with this kit - genesis owners will have a safe, effective place to mount the oil cooler.
4. All of the above - oil cooler, PS cooler and the IC replacement solution.
This is the prototype unit - just to give you an idea as to what it looks like.
MSRP: TBD
We would like to gauge interest in this setup and get some feedback - so if anyone has questions - please ask! We will do our best to get them answered.
