Custom Performance Engineering continues its Ford EcoBoost 2.3L Turbo development and pushing the limits of technology. We are proud to introduce the MagnumDI™ Stage 2 EcoBoost 2.3 Pistons. Additionally, these are the perfect choice for your built Focus RS or Ecostang.
These pistons are track tested with countless passes on the world’s first 9 second EcoBoost vehicle. We’ve gone through several revisions and settled on a design. Additionally that design is proven to take hard use and abuse over and over again. We’ve tuned these pistons on the track and they are ready to stand up to daily and track use.
Stage2 EcoBoost 2.3 Pistons
We set out to design pistons with performance and strength in mind specifically for the Ford EcoBoost 2.3L Turbo motor. Basically these Stage 2 pistons will hold up to almost anything. Made using a state-of-the-art forging process with extensive heat treating and special finishing, cp-e™ ensures optimum reliability which is exactly what is needed in a high performance engine.
These pistons are precision machine to cp-e™ spec. Additionally our Stage 2 pistons have specifically designed valve pockets and a dome with unique features. This optimizes fuel distribution within the cylinder. The extra pocket in the dome design sends fuel up towards the spark plug, optimizing the mix with oxygen and in turn making the burn process more efficient.
EcoBoost 2.3 Pistons Build Quality
We machine the pistons with a special cam and barrel design that helps with piston positioning within the cylinder and its movement with stress and heat. This also reduces the noise, commonly acquired with forged internals. All of our Stage2 pistons feature a coating that reduces friction and noise, while promoting oil lubrication.
