ATTENTION NON-USDM Customers: if your car uses the mass air sensor you will need a tune that accounts for the added air volume. USDM cars have a mass air sensor in them however they only use it for intake air temperature measurements so there is no tune required for USDM cars.
Available powder coated in Satin Black the αIntake offers the most well thought out solution to getting air to your turbo yet. The αIntake comes with a full 4.00” mandrel bent tube. Welded onto the tube are a CNC-lathed port for the PCV system, a CNC-milled MAP bung, and a laser cut support bracket. Includes clear plexi-glass window (ships with orange peel-off protective coating).
Fiesta ST Intake Construction
The intake tube then attaches to the air box through a 5-ply silicone elbow and a CNC-lathed aluminum bellmouth. This velocity stack bellmouth smoothly compresses the air to provide a minimal amount of energy loss which translates to a higher air speed through the tube. We include a 4.00” air filter specially designed to give the most free flowing air flow possible. Additionally this comes with your choice between Dflow™ or SynOil™.
Part of what makes the the stock intake system well-rounded is the great design of the stock box. It brings in cool air efficiently, and isolates the filter from the hot air in the engine bay. Where the stock box lacks is where the cp-e™ αIntake shines above all.
Fiesta ST Intake Box
The αIntake box is laser cut and CNC-bent 18 gauge stainless steel. Stainless steel is great for this application for not only its resistance to corrosion, but also its thermal properties allow the interior of the box to stay cool, even when the box itself heats up. The box utilizes both stock fresh air ducts, and also sucks up cool fresh air from the wheel well. The box is topped off by clear plexi glass to seal the filter from the heat, providing a sweet view and easy access to the filter. Lastly, the box easily mounts in the stock location with the laser cut brackets and CNC-lathed mounting feet.

This is the best air intake on the market for the Fiesta ST. It is extremely well thought out and the only intake worth replacing the already well designed OEM system. Shipping was extremely fast (I selected cheapest FEDEX shipping and received the product either 2 or 3 days after I ordered it). The quality is impressive and the intake looks absolutely beautiful on the car. The turbo, intake and BOV all become more audible. The thing I was most surprised by was the added performance (I have MP215). I wasn’t expecting much other than sound but there is definitely a noticeable performance boost. You will need a tune to fully appreciate this intake so get an accessport if you don’t already have one (CPE also sells those). I would recommend this intake to anyone with a Fiesta ST, it is a great product and I am VERY satisfied.

Since the previous owner decided a short ram was the best way to go with the FiST, I had to make a change. I replaced the cheap K&N “Typhoon” with the Custom Performance Engineering ram air intake. I went with CP-E over the others out there because I wanted a complete air box and didn’t have a stock box. The packaging was very well done with all the components being individually wrapped and foam padding throughout. Even the hardware was individually wrapped. The install itself was pretty straight forward. The hardest part was connecting the main tube to the turbo. I did the install in the driveway and getting to the turbo from the top of the engine bay was tight but manageable if you follow the instructions. What I didn’t know when I ordered the intake is there is what makes it a “ram air” box is a snorkel that goes from the bottom of the box to the area behind the fog light to draw in colder air. If this makes it a proper “ram air” system is up to debate but it works well. The entire intake is very well built and the thought that CP-E put into this thing is very noticeable. Particularly note worthy is the piece that attaches the filter to the intake tube. It’s a beautiful piece if machined aluminum that I wish I would have taken a picture of as it definitely took some work to design. That all being said, I do have a few small complaints. The first being the part that replaces the hood prop holder doesn’t work well since the plastic pieces that the prop hooks into tend to stay on the prop rather than the holder. When they stick to the prop they have to be realigned every time you put the prop back and that’s a bit of a pain to do while also holding the hood up. I would try to put the stock one back in but I broke it while removing it (oops). The other small issue I have is that every part has the CP-E logo on it. I get that they are proud of their products but labeling almost every part seems like a bit much, especially since they give you such an awesome metal badge to put on wherever you choose (middle of top tube in pics). Overall I’m very pleased with this intake and saw an increase of 3 mpg highway over the old short ram intake. The sound is amazing, it’s a bit quiter than the short ram but has a deeper tone which, to me, sounds more aggressive.
