cp-e™ xFlex™ Stage 1 Ford Focus ST Rear Motor Mount
$181.11
Custom Performance Engineering is very proud to release the first aftermarket EPDM (ethylene propylenediene monomer) rubber engine mount for the Focus ST! CNC machined from a single piece of billet 6061-series aluminum; this mount is not only totally indestructible, but it also transmits far less NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) into the cabin than comparable mounts.

Focus ST Rear Motor Mount
Our Focus ST Rear Motor Mount is unique compared to our competitors mounts both in form and in function. We have incorporated a unique method of holding the mount in the vehicle.
Focus ST Rear Motor Mount Features
• Billet CNC construction
• EPDM Bushing
• CNC lathed aluminum bushing spacers
• Stabilize the engine rotational movement
• 55A or 75A durometer options
• All necessary hardware included
Instead of placing all of the force on the center bushing pin, the load is distributed throughout the bushing with the CNC lathed aluminum spacers. This load distribution increases the effective stiffness of the bushing under engine loads allowing a lower durometer bushing to provide more stiffness.
cp-e™ goes a step further by using EPDM, a sort of rubber, bushing. Urethane begins to fail at temperatures as low as 200°F and generally the bushings need a higher durometer rating to hold together. The Focus rear motor mount is a perfect example of when not to use urethane. The location of the mount allows a large amount of heat to be transferred to the bushing. EPDM holds up to this heat, and doesn’t begin to break down and fail. EPDM has a higher density than urethane, so the bushing can have a lower durometer rating while keeping high reliability and support. Why is that good? Higher durometer ratings transfer vibrations through the vehicle and into the cabin, raising the NVH (noise, vibration, & harshness) value.
EDPM Bushing
Unlike nearly all other engine mount manufacturers, we use EPDM for our bushings. This provides much more vibration resistance when compared to polyurethane. This material is also extremely resilient and is able to stretch and even develop small cracks without affecting its structural integrity. EPDM is much more expensive to produce, but it is a far superior bushing material.
Pressed Center Insert
We physically press our mount into our EPDM bushings. This allows the bushing material and the metal to have a perfect connection without any gap. Our construction allows the EDPM to absorb the vibrations and allows the metal inserts to smoothly move with the EDPM.

I’ve had my ST just three weeks and I knew from the first drive I needed this modification ; and what a difference it makes! It’s almost like getting a 50 hp boost in power because now I can actually launch the car using all of the throttle without my front wheels hopping through the fenders. Great product.

Even with an ST equipped with the revised e-Focus RMM, the CP-E mount is just a worlds of a difference, especially if you plan on driving your car hard (autocross, track etc.). No more bang from 1st to 2nd, which helps quite a bit in autocross. Not too much NVH due to it only being stage 1.

This is the only mount I use for my car so far, and it has made a world of difference in the drivabilty and fun. I thought it would cause the car to vibrate an excessive amount but I was honestly surprised that the vibrations were very minimal. If you are gunna do just one mount, I highly recommend it. Keeps the engine/tranny tight in its place
