The Mustang EcoBoost is a well-rounded car in just about every aspect, and the intake system is too. The stock intake system is designed well, and the community sees that. Still cp-e™ felt that they could take the good & the bad from the stock system, and make it even better. After a long engineering process, cp-e™ is proud to release the Mustang EcoBoost Intake.

Available powder coated in Satin Black the αIntake offers the most well thought out solution to getting air to your turbo yet. The αIntake comes with a full 4.00” mandrel bent tube. Welded onto the tube are a CNC-lathed port for the PCV system, a CNC-milled MAP bung, and a laser cut support bracket. Includes clear plexi-glass window (ships with orange peel-off protective coating).
Mustang EcoBoost Intake Construction
The intake tube then attaches to the air box through a 5-ply silicone elbow and a CNC-lathed aluminum bellmouth. This velocity stack bellmouth smoothly compresses the air to provide a minimal amount of energy loss which translates to a higher air speed through the tube. We include a 4.00” air filter specially designed to give the most free flowing air flow possible. Additionally this comes with your choice between Dflow™ or SynOil™.
Part of what makes the the stock intake system well-rounded is the great design of the stock box. It brings in cool air efficiently, and isolates the filter from the hot air in the engine bay. Where the stock box lacks is where the cp-e™ αIntake shines above all. The αIntake box is laser cut and CNC-bent 18 gauge stainless steel. Stainless steel is great for this application for not only its resistance to corrosion, but also its thermal properties allow the interior of the box to stay cool, even when the box itself heats up. The box utilizes both stock fresh air ducts, and also sucks up cool fresh air from the wheel well. The box is topped off by clear plexi glass to seal the filter from the heat, providing a sweet view and easy access to the filter. Lastly, the box easily mounts in the stock location with the laser cut brackets and CNC-lathed mounting feet.

the best cold air on the market, it is the cleanest most aggressive looking Cold Air. when in boost you can hear the Cold Air nice and loud. fits perfectly and no issues.
I’m 48. I finally bought a Mustang, 34 years after I fell in love with a ‘66 fastback that I could never have. I don’t need a 450-hp car, so after lots of research I bought a 2018 EcoBoost. Pros: 310 hp and 350 lb/ft of torque paired with a 10-speed auto, independent rear suspension (finally), and simply beautiful styling. Cons: Not many, but the air filter and exhaust could be better. So again, after much research, I went with the cp-e cold air intake. Sweet baby Jesus. Let’s start with the materials. Not plastic. Powder coated aluminum and stainless steel. Excellent filter. Nice plexiglass cover so the filter is visible but protected. Easy to install (if you have the proper tools, which, Christ on a stick, buy the proper tools man). Immediately noticeable improvement in performance and sound. Not leaps and bounds—don’t get hysterical—but the car feels quicker, the turbo spool is more pronounced, and on acceleration you can hear and almost feel the air flow. It’s just breathing better. Which of course is the point. If you’re tempted to go with a more established brand or a more economical cold air intake because you’re just not sure about the cp-e, I would tell you to reconsider. This is the one you want. Before & after pics are attached.
