Mazdaspeed3 Rear Motor Mount

Custom Performance Engineering is very proud to release the first aftermarket EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber engine mount for the Mazdaspeed3!

Custom Performance Engineering is very proud to release the first aftermarket EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber engine mount for the Mazdaspeed3! CNC machined from a single piece of billet 6061-series aluminum; this mount is not only totally indestructible, but it also transmits far less NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) into the cabin than comparable mounts.

Our Mazdaspeed3 Rear Motor Mount is unique compared to our competitors mounts both in form and in function. We use rubber for the bushing as opposed to urethane simply because it’s better suited for this application. Rubber withstands engine heat much better then urethane, and it won’t deform or crack over time the way urethane can. We were also able to incorporate a unique method of holding the mount in the vehicle. Instead of placing all of the force on the center bushing pin, the load is distributed throughout the bushing. This increases the effective stiffness of the bushing under engine loads, and the bushing absorbs annoying vibrations. Now you can combine the stiffness of a race mount with the comfort of a stock unit!

Disclaimer: Due to the various different N/A Mazda 3’s this mount may not fit your specific model. This only applies to Mazda 3’s and it will fit any Mazdaspeed3.

EDPM Bushing

Unlike nearly all other engine mount manufacturers, we use EPDM for our bushings. This provides much more vibration resistance when compared to polyurethane. This material is also extremely resilient and is able to stretch and even develop small cracks without affecting its structural integrity. EPDM is much more expensive to produce, but it is a far superior bushing material.

Pressed Center Insert

Our metal inserts are physically pressed into our EPDM bushings. This allows the bushing material and the metal to have a perfect connection without any gap. Other manufacturers cut their material out to fit, leaving small tolerances where the metal can still vibrate. Our construction allows the EDPM to absorb the vibrations and allows the metal inserts to smoothly move with the EDPM.

I installed the Stage 1 RMM over the weekend and can REALLY feel the difference. The lack of motor movement is awesome and I haven’t noticed and crazy vibrations at idle. Thank you CP-e for an AMAZING product. You’ve earned a customer for life.

I installed the 75A durometer rated RMM on my 2011 Mazda 3 2.5l hatchback a few weeks ago. I have over 615+ miles driven on this mount. The instructions were very clear and concise. The hardware is of excellent quality. It took me 1.5 hrs to fully install the hardware. After driving 5 days, I reinspected and torqued the hardware.

For those of you who are looking to eliminate wheel hop and torque steer but hate the added NVH, get the 60A rated mount. The 75A rated mount has amplified NVH. The most extreme vibrations and harshness can be felt at near-idle speeds, especially when the AC is turned on. Even though I don’t mind the added NVH, it’s enough to cause my wife to be uncomfortable during acceleration after a complete stop.

Great beautiful product, kind of sad its underneath the car. Also very very easy to install. I ordered the 60a but it was out of stock and decided to go with the 75a. At first I was concerned of vibrations but after a few hundred miles it has broken in. I re-torqued everything and the vibrations are a lot less than the first day. But to be totally honest the driving experience is so much better now that a little vibration at idle is well worth it! Fantastic product CP-E team!

Greta motor mount, never failed under launching or spirited driving. The vibrations the mount gives off might be a little harsh for some but if your modding your car than you should expect more vibrations in the first place. Thanks CPE
