The Focus ST has an aggressive stance and demeanor and cp-e™ wanted to create an exhaust system to better match its styling and performance. This cat back exhaust will not only improve the breathing of your Focus ST, but it will also give you that aggressive exhaust note you’ve been looking for! The cp-e™ Austenite™ cat back exhaust has a very controlled exhaust note that gives the driver no drone at cruising speeds, yet a pronounced and aggressive tone at wide open throttle.

Never overwhelming, the new cp-e™ sound will grab attention; not from obnoxious noise, but because the sound is exotic and unique. The cp-e™ Austenite™ Cat Back includes not one, but two StealthPipes™ to assist in making this exhaust the perfect tone. These pipes keep the exhaust at a nice tone while also eliminating drone without adding backpressure.

As if the tone isn’t enough, cp-e™ has designed the exhaust tips to attach with ball socket clamps. This allows the owner to customize the look of their exhaust in any way that they want. Position them straight, split, high or low; whatever way you desire. The clamps not only allow adjustability, but also provide excellent sealing at the connection no matter what position you place the tips in.

For those who have replaced the factory downpipe, this 3″ cat back will remove the last bottleneck in the exhaust stream; increasing the engines breathing capacity and smoothing out the turbo spool.

All cp-e™ exhausts are made from Super Polished 304 Stainless Steel. The 18g heavy duty stainless piping is mandrel bent and cut on our in-house CNC Bender and CNC Mills. The system features custom cast Stainless Flanges, reliable hangers, custom made Stainless Mufflers and polished stainless tips. Everything is TIG welded by hand to get beautiful color and durability in the welds. Designed fully in a CAD environment, cp-e™ is able to guarantee a factory-like fit every-time with great performance gains.

    I absolutely love this exhaust. It has great bass tones without being too loud while just driving around town. When you really open it up you get this great top end rasp, it really screams. The resonators on the back are adjustable to tune out drone at certain RPMs, but certain speeds will still get resonance. I’ve had this paired with the catted downpipe for around 5000 miles, now the car really feels alive.

    I have had the exhaust on the car for about a month now. She was almost to pretty to put on the car. Installation with a friend was pretty easy, and the colored instructions were great. Below I will break down my opinion of the exhaust’s sound(Stock DP):

    Cruising: While cruising at about 55 mph in 6th the exhaust has the slightest hum. The hum does get more noticeable at higher speeds, but you are still able to have a conversation on your cell phone or with your passengers.

    Going through the gears: Shifting at about 2.5k you get a mild bassy sound from the exhaust. Letting off the gas produces a nice bass and some crackles/pops depending on the RPMs.

    WOT: The exhaust sings under WOT. A nice crackle when banging gears is present. The 6th to 4th downshift on the interstate is a winner. The sound is raspy and fitting for a direct injected turbo car.

    Afterthoughts: This exhaust is in the top tier in pricing, but I would buy it again without hesitation.

    Install time was about 1-2 hours and was very simple. If you are looking for an exhaust with a deep tone then this is for you. Comes with everything you need for the install. I took my time and there are no rattles or vibrations at all. The exhaust is kind of quiet at idle but gets fairly loud at any type of throttle. Once I get a downpipe this thing should scream. Best exhaust option on the market. It really is beautiful, all the welds are perfect and no exhaust leaks at all. Everything is well worth the money.
