Jesse Cheng Hyundai Genesis Build
We were really excited when Hyundai first announced the details on the Genesis Coupe. Many people gravitated toward the larger V6 version with its Nissan-like stats for a lot less money.
Our eyes were always for the 2.0T version though. Here we have a small, RWD, turbo coupe that can be had for very reasonable money. We jumped on this car and started the process of creating some bolt ons for the platform. Bolt-ons are great, but we always love seeing the fee enthusiasts that want to take their platform even further.
Jesse Cheng is one of those enthusiasts and his Genesis Coupe build is unlike any other that we've seen. Here he combines show-car appearance with race-car performance. The result is a total show stopper.
This car is not just another "slam it, wrap it, and put wheels on it" type of build. This Genesis has incredible attention to detail. The engine has been seriously built and a manual transmission has been swapped in to replace the stock automatic. This car is one of only a select few that have had the transmission replaced.
One look at the mod list and you'll be able to tell that this Genesis means business.
